Acquisition and configuration system of electronic control units via K line

The target

The aim is to create a compact system that allows access to the configuration parameters of the electronic control unit of the Formula 1 gearbox on board the new Maserati cars, automatically succeeding in making some adjustments, based on reference algorithms aimed at fine tuning pre-sales.

The solution

A small personal computer was created, suitable to be installed on board the vehicle, in which to execute a software program that implements all the functions and protocols necessary to obtain an automatic acquisition and configuration system, minimizing the operator's interventions to the advantage of reliability and repeatability.
